We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: performance of a contract to arrange and deliver your appointment and service; legitimate interest in keeping accurate service records, contacting you about your booking and improving our service; and consent for any marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time.
What information we collect
We collect your name, contact details (email, phone), location/postcode, details of your jewellery, photographs you share with us, and any notes you provide when you submit an enquiry or attend an appointment.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out at-home jewellery cleaning appointments, and keep accurate service records.
How we use it
To contact you about your enquiry, manage your appointment, complete a customer declaration and cleaning record at the appointment, and (where you have consented) send occasional updates and offers.
How we store it
Your information is stored securely in our private customer management system. Only Bobbie Dazzler has access. We process your data using a small number of trusted third-party tools, including our website and CRM platform, secure image storage and our email provider. These providers act as data processors on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer contact records for up to 3 years after your last interaction with us. Service records (including cleaning records, signed declarations and photographs) are retained for 6 years to meet insurance, tax and consumer-law obligations, after which they are deleted.
Photos of jewellery
Photographs you provide before an appointment, and photographs taken during the appointment, are stored as part of your service record so we can document the condition of your pieces.
Customer declarations and service records
At your appointment we will complete a written customer declaration and a record of the cleaning carried out. These are retained as part of our service history.
Marketing consent
We will only contact you with marketing where you have specifically opted in. You can opt out at any time by emailing us.
How to request deletion or correction
You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time by contacting info@bobbiedazzler.uk.
Your right to complain
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
